❦ Short Description (চুটি বিৱৰণ) = In pursuance of approval of the Government of Assam vide letter No. E-568312/104 dated Dispur the 30th October, 2024 & letter No. E-568312/118 dated Dispur the 15th February 2025, fresh applications are hereby invited from Indian Citizens as defined under Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India, for filling up of 445 (Four hundred and forty five) number of posts of Veterinary Field Assistant and its allied cadre posts under the Directorate of A.H. and Veterinary, Assam, Chenikuthi, Guwahati-03. The vacancy will be filled up as per existing vacancy in the respective category of posts as per Post Based Roster Register considering the passed out VFA trainees as indicated below :

1. UR: 258 Posts
2. OBC/MOBC: 100 Posts
3. ST(P): 41 Posts
4. SC: 32 Posts

✿ Educational Qualification - (শিক্ষাগত অৰ্হতা) = Candidates must have passed HSSLC (Science) with Biology as one of the subjects. Additionally, they must have completed a one-year certificate course in Elementary Knowledge of Veterinary Science from a recognized school of the School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, established by the Government of Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar.

✿ Physical Standard: Candidates applying for direct recruitment to the Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) cadre must be in sound health, both mentally and physically, and should be free from any organic defects or bodily infirmities that may interfere with the efficient performance of their duties. Before appointment, candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the necessary health standards.

✿ Age Limit - (বয়সৰ সময়সীমা) = Candidates must be at least 18 years old as of 1st January 2022 and should not exceed 40 years of age as of 1st January 2025.

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.

✿ Salary (Scale of Pay) - (দৰমহা) = Selected candidates will receive a salary in Pay Band-2, ranging from ₹14,000/- to ₹70,000/-, along with a Grade Pay of ₹6,200/- and other allowances as per government norms.

How To Apply (কিদৰে আবেদন কৰিব) =

Interested candidates must apply using the standard application format prescribed in Part IX of the Assam Gazette. Along with the application, candidates must submit testimonials and a self-addressed envelope with a ₹5.00 stamp for communication purposes.

The application should be addressed to The Director, A.H. & Veterinary Department, Assam, Chenikuthi, Guwahati-781003 and can be submitted either physically in the Drop Box at the Directorate or sent by Registered Post.

Candidates must securely affix one recent passport-size photograph in the designated space on the application form using strong adhesive and enclose an additional signed copy of the photograph. The Directorate of A.H. & Veterinary will not be responsible for any loss or detachment of the photograph. Additionally, candidates must self-attest copies of their certificates and mark sheets, as attestation by a competent authority is no longer required. Applicants should ensure their applications are complete and properly signed before submission to avoid rejection.
