BTC Recruitment 2026
❦ Short Description (চুটি বিৱৰণ) = The Central Selection Board (CSB) of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) has released a recruitment notification for the posts of Forester-I and Forest Guard under the Forest Department, BTC. A total of 157 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. Eligible candidates who are residents of the BTC area and have registered with the Employment Exchange of Assam can apply online through the official CSB website starting from 23 February 2026. The last date to submit the online application is 15 March 2026 (up to 12:00 midnight).
This notification also covers 60 newly added posts from villages in Biswanath and Sonitpur districts that now fall under BTC’s Udalguri District. Candidates who applied under earlier Government Notifications (No. E-233475/387, dated 21 September 2024, and No. E-233475/303, dated 6 November 2023) are also eligible to apply for these posts.

✿ Salary (Scale of Pay) - (দৰমহা) =
▶ Forester-I : P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 GP ₹6,200
▶ Forest Guard : P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 GP ₹5,600
✿ Educational Qualification - (শিক্ষাগত অৰ্হতা) =
▶ For Forester-I: Candidates must hold a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
▶ For Forest Guard: Candidates must have passed the HS (10+2) examination or an equivalent exam.
✿ Age Limit - (বয়সৰ সময়সীমা) = Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age as on 1 January 2026. Relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST candidates is 5 years and for OBC/MOBC candidates is 3 years, as per Government rules. ✒ Selection Process (নিৰ্বাচন প্ৰক্ৰিয়া) =
The selection will be done in three stages:
1. Physical Test: Walking test of 26 km for male and 16 km for female candidates, to be completed within 4 hours. This will be followed by a medical examination.
2. Written Examination: An objective-type (MCQ) exam of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks. There is no negative marking.
3. Viva-Voce: Qualified candidates from the written exam will appear for a viva-voce test of 20 marks.
